“If you focus solely on the goal, you will falter. Process is where success is born.
Process is what gets you the end result. Process is more important than the goal.”
~ Rita Schiano
Is there something you’ve been talking about doing? Do you say, “I want to write a book, someday.” “I want a new career,” “I want to start my own business,” “I need to start a retirement fund,” I want a ____ . I need a ____ . I want to____ . I need to____ . (You fill in the blank.)
In June 2017, I held the first Change Your Habitudes, Change Your Life workshop. Developing and presenting that program had been on my “I want to” list for three years. I’d think about it, talk about it, and it would end there. Lots of talk, no real action.
If you’re reading this, then you know what I’m talking about. You’re all enthused about an idea, a desire in the beginning, then after a short while all that excitement begins to wax and wane like the moon, and the next thing you know the sun has set on your idea/project.
But there is one thing I know for certain. Once I got to a point where I truly believed in something, and set it as a goal, I’d get it done — and usually in a very short amount of time.
What I have learned is that in 6 weeks, we can get just about anything done. When my partner and I committed to opening the Casual Café back in 1989, we had a six-week plan, broken down day-by-day, step-by-step.
When I committed to the Change Your Habitudes, Change Your Life workshop, I developed a six-week plan.
When I committed to launching the online programs, I had a six-week plan.
And for the past 11 years, I’ve been an adjunct professor at Bay Path University teaching in the One-Day-A-Week program where classes are 6-weeks in length.
“Yeah, but Rita” you’re probably thinking, “how can I write a book, change careers, grow my business, accomplish my "I Wanna" in just 6 weeks?”
That’s a fair question. Your book, career change, your “I want to / need to” may not be fully actualized in 6 weeks. Yet, what it will be is entrenched in the process.
This isn’t basic training, this is deployment; this is action.
People fail to get things done because they do not embrace the fact that the process is more important than the goal. Without process — that series of steps, decisions, and strategies — goals cannot fully actualized.
The 6-week Get It Done! One-On-One Workshop is for serious-minded, fully committed people who have an “I want to ____. / “I need to ____."
How it works:
I will work with you one-on-one for 6-weeks.
- Six (6) in-person (or via Skype or Facetime) meetings, one each week.
- Action items based on our weekly meetings to be determined and completed each week prior to our scheduled session.
- Unlimited calls / e-mails throughout the 6-weeks.
What the cost? The investment in yourself is $595.00, payable in upfront, in full. No week-to-week. And there are no refunds. If you quit midway, that’s on you. If you miss a meeting, you’re out. Sounds harsh? Maybe. But the fact is, people are more likely to follow through once money is on the line, when the dollars are out of their pocket. You are investing in you.
The people who sign up for the Get It Done! One-On-One Workshop are serious investors in themselves.
So what’s on your “I Wanna” List? Are you serious about achieving that goal? If so, sign up today. Accountability, structure, exploration, inspiration, motivation. That’s how you Get it Done!
