Amcomm Wireless Under New Ownership
Amcomm Wireless Under New Ownership
Spencer, MA – On December 1, Isaac Bardsley assumed ownership of the Amcomm Wireless store located at 158 Main Street in Spencer. Bardsley, who recently purchased the franchise from Amcomm Wireless, Inc. of Sturbridge, is thrilled to own the store that gave him his start in the wireless business.
Bardsley began with Amcomm Wireless, an authorized Verizon Wireless retailer, in April of 2004, several months after graduating from Tantasqua Regional High School. With “absolutely no experience in the wireless business” Bardsley underwent an intensive training program in the corporate headquarters location in Sturbridge, after which he was assigned to Amcomm’s Spencer store, where he stayed for one year.
Recognizing Bardsley’s hard work and business acumen, he was transferred back to the corporate headquarters and promoted to store manager and inventory manager.
“When I started with Amcomm, the corporation owned five stores,” explained Bardsley. “I knew the long-range plan was to convert those stores into franchise operations. I made my commitment to the company known, telling the owners I was in for the long haul.”
Earlier this year, the opportunity to purchase the Spencer store came into play. “The owners were offering employees a good deal. I tried to get a business loan, but being only twenty years old, I couldn’t get the financing. And then last month, a friend offered to help. I took on a silent partner and made the deal.”
Bardsley’s work ethic and determination are just two reasons why the young man is successful. He also believes in and understands the importance of building good customer relationships. “A lot of my customers from when I worked in the store in 2004 were so happy I bought the store. They know me and know my commitment to providing the best quality customer service. And I can back that up with Verizon Wireless, America’s most reliable wireless network. We also carry a full-line of cell phones, PDAs, and accessories.”
Bardsley is community-minded too. His store has joined the corporate effort this holiday season to collect food for Rachel’s Table, a volunteer-based, local organization that distributes food to 45 agencies in Worcester County. Between now and December 20th, stop by any Amcomm Wireless store in Sturbridge, Southbridge, Oxford, Webster, Spencer, Worcester, or Fitchburg with a couple dollars worth of baby food or nonperishable food items for Rachel’s Table, and get a $10.00 gift coupon.
“When people think about cell phone and wireless service, I want them to think Amcomm Wireless. I hope they will come by my store. I am committed to giving them 100% customer service.” -#30-
