Four Eyes Joke Shop Makes PopChronicle
Southbridge, MA – One of the most talked about businesses to hit Southbridge will be featured on the television show Chronicle on Tuesday, April 19. Tune in to WCVB Channel 5 Boston, at 7:30 p.m. and discover why Four Eyes Joke Shop is all the rage.
Shopkeeper Valerie Pontbriand could not be more excited. Four Eyes Joke Shop opened for business at 296 Main Street in Southbridge last July 24 after months of titillating and tantalizing messages on its storefront windows. It has been going full-speed ever since.
"The focus of Four Eyes is good humor and fun. No matter how down someone is when they walk through our doors we promise to do our best to make them feel good when they leave," said Pontbriand. "At Four Eyes, we’ll do whatever it takes to get a laugh. We want to create an atmosphere that is fun. A place where people come to talk, laugh, and just plain-old feel good."
It’s not unusual for folks driving down Main Street in Southbridge to see Trevor the Stilt Walker waving hello, or for visitors to the shop to sit with palm reader David Xanatos. Look out! Magician Joe Arsenault may pull a quarter out of your ear!
"We’ve relied mainly on word-of-mouth advertising. Being featured on Chronicle is quite an honor. We hope people traveling through our part of New England will make Four Eyes Joke Shop a must-see stop along the way."
