Magical Strings Come to Brookfield. Hammered Dulcimer and Harp Duo to Perform.

Magical Strings Come to Brookfield
Hammered dulcimer and harp duo to perform

Brookfield, MA – The Music Committee of the Brookfield Unitarian Universalist Church, located at 9 Upper River Street (on the Brookfield Common) is hosting the hammered dulcimer and harp duo, Magical Strings, on Sunday, April 10 at 2:00 p.m.

Since1980 the internationally acclaimed, Seattle-based duo Philip and Pam Boulding have been performing lively Celtic music throughout the United States and overseas, including two sell-out tours in Japan. The duo has toured and recorded with Dan Fogelberg and has had several featured appearances on A Prairie Home Companion.

Over the years Magical Strings has recorded thirteen albums. Much of their work was energized by their adventures in Ireland. Intertwining Celtic roots and world music influences, the duo weaves stories and verse about their music and travels with vibrant humor and warmth, augmenting their self-crafted instruments with whistles, concertina, and valiha (Malagasy bamboo harp). When not on the road the Bouldings teach music, build instruments, and run their School of Magical Strings.

The concert is open to the public. Tickets are $12.00 adults and $10.00 for seniors and youth.
